Everytime you pick up a camera you start to notice more details around you. Light quality takes on a special meaning. Seeing a spontaneous interaction between people and being able to capture that moment for eternity. Strangers stopping you at events to ask about your equipment. These all spark the enthusiasm for carrying your camera every time you go out the door.
I've loved taking pictures since I took my first photography class in grammar school. When that first image appeared after the alchemy of the darkroom, I was hooked. Unfortunatel, as with many things, life events took me away from photography, with the advent of my grandchildren, I wanted to capture their moments. The new technologies allowed me to capture thousands of pictures, but, they weren’t what I was looking for. There was no spark in the images, itching that took the breath away. The children I photographed are amazing but the images were not.
Now, I’m looking for feedback from the world. What do you like in the images I've posted? What can be improved? Your critiques are welcomed. So drop me a line anytime.
There's a picture around every corner.
I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world and then print images with a focus on the magic I find in daily life. My pictures tell my stories.
Through my prints and photo books, I invite you to bring bits of my stories into your life and home. New prints are released regularly, so check back often. If you sign up for updates, you will get notified about new prints or books, sales, and shows.
